We are pleased to inform you that Silent Flyer have started a cooperation with Purdue University in Indiana in US. The collaboration with Purdue University entails of testing and research work on the Silent Flyer in wind tunnels. Purdue University is one of the world’s leading universities in innovation and development. They have the largest aerospace engineering faculty in the United States. The first part of this collaboration has already begun and consist of making a model of the Silent Flyer, which will be used in the testing at Purdue. That way we can continue the work here in Iceland alongside our testing in Purdue.
Dr. Leifur Þór Leifsson, one of the founders of Flygildi, is a professor at Purdue University and will lead the project as well as continue to work closely with our development team.
